Newsletters

I often come across gmail icons with 2000 or more emails, unless you are Jeff Bezos, ther's no reason to have some many emails and the reasons behind having 2000 plus unread emails could only to be two:
  • Poor mailbox management
    • ie no categorisation active on Gmail (Updates,Promotions,Forum)
  • Dozen of newsletters
Getting rid of newsletter is one of the more stodgy and annoying thing on planet hearth, so once again, why not delegating that to technology?
Delete stupid newsletter
CleanFox is a privacy focus application that allows you to visualize all your in-mail subscription, review and decide whether keep or unsubscribe to updates.
If you are a privacy integralist and still you don't trust CleanFox (I feel you) you can manually unsubscribe to updates and in the future use temporary email services like Temptmail for once-in-a-while services.
For instance you need to download a PNG photo from a website that request your email? Use temporary email, register, download and go on.

Change Email Client
In my opinion, Apple's Mail app is very well done graphically, but lacks many features that are available only using Gmail directly from the Browser, or other email client
Mimestream, adds an huge feature: categorizations like on Gmail (Social, Update, Promotion) but using the same design Adopted by Apple.
The app is available at this link and in my opinion it is worth considering it compared to competitors such as Spark, Apple Mail or the classic Gmail from browser.

Tempo is the peak of minimalism, it's really stopped to the bone. The interface, font, buttons, and every detail is crazy minimal.
It's one-of-a-kind email client, and for this at the begging should seems a little bit weird, due the fact that with gmail we are used to be surrounded by colours, icons and buttons.
Tempo it's different. If you are managing tons of email maybe is not the right solution for you, but why not? Give it a shot
Similarly to G suite is the possibility to have reminders and to list directly inside the email client, a nice touch really useful if you don't want to use several app for to do and reminders.

Social Network

Social Network are a mine of emails, they are trying to keep us in the loop inside and outside the platform.
Toggle off any update from website such as Facebook, instagram, linkedin.
Minimize page likes to avoid being overwhelmed
The best solution by far to avoid distractions would be deleting our social account, but let's be fair in many case would be really hard and meaningless, so again Fredrick Reidel has came up with a solution, a block
